The Freemasons of the Campbelltown district have been left without a HQ after their centre was completely gutted by fire in the early hours of this morning.
Investigators are trying to piece together how a fiery blaze broke out after it tore through the Masonic Hall in Ambarvale.
“Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) investigators are examining the scene of a large overnight fire that has destroyed a masonic centre at Ambarvale in Sydney’s south-west.”

Sydney Fire Communications – Fire Rescue NSW – 801 Station received the first of numerous calls to a building alight on Wickfield Circuit.
Both Fire and Rescue NSW Station 087 Rosemeadow and Fire and Rescue NSW Station 088 Campbelltown responded to the report.
However, the ‘massive blaze’ meant the response was quickly upgraded to include brigades from Narellan, St Andrews, Camden and Horningsea Park.
“Nine fire trucks, including an aerial appliance, battled the fire from all sides of the 40 x 30m single-level building but it could not be saved.”
