Lawmakers fight to regulate and ban geoengineering.

WEATHER MODIFICATION PUSHBACK

Republican lawmakers across the U.S are introducing, passing and enacting laws to ban weather modification and environmental geoengineering.

Politicians in nearly 20 state legislatures have proposed such legislation, with governors in locations like Tennessee, Montana, and Florida having signed bills into law.

On the national level, Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., and Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., recently introduced the “Clear Skies Act,” which would outlaw forms of geoengineering and hit alleged weather modifiers with penalties of up to $100,000 for each violation.

It also includes potential prison sentences of up to five years.

“It’s not a conspiracy theory,” Pennsylvania state Sen. Camera Bartolotta, a Republican who co-sponsored legislation in her state, said in an interview.

“All you have to do is look up.”

In April 2025, Florida lawmakers passed Senate Bill 56, a landmark geoengineering ban that prohibits weather modification activities, including cloud seeding and solar radiation.

Montana’s Senate Bill 473, passed on March 6, 2025, also bans geoengineering practices like stratospheric aerosol injection and solar radiation management, but permits cloud seeding for water resource management.

In Tennessee, the House of Representatives passed a bill designed to prevent geoengineering and any intentional modification of the atmosphere.

It is great to see so much attention being brought to the issue of geoengineering, and even if all of these bills don’t succeed, at least the discussion is in the public domain and acknowledged by respective political chambers.

For too long, anyone who dared speak of geoengineering programs was labelled a ‘conspiracy theorist’ and ‘crazy person’, despite the practice being around for over 70 years.

Now, with more radical forms like solar radiation management emerging, they cannot hide geoengineering programs any longer. In fact, those responsible are now trying to rebrand it as a way to ‘save the planet’ against ‘climate change’.

GEOENGINEERING GOES MAINSTREAM

‘They wouldn’t be messing with the weather!’.

Even ten years ago, people would look at you with a bizarre, confused face if you mentioned geoengineering to them. Now, slowly but surely, this field is beginning to go mainstream.

A web search of geoengineering no longer brings up ‘debunking’ articles completely dismissing the claims as ‘delusional conspiracy’. Oh, how things have changed.

What was once ‘conspiracy’ is now mainstream science, and the usual characters have come out to endorse solar geoengineering as a ‘game changer’ for ‘global warming’.

In recent years, several geoengineering avenues have been proposed and gained traction, ranging from building giant mirrors in space to reflect sunlight, to “cloud brightening” involving spraying sea salt crystals into ocean air.

Geoengineering is researched across the world by other research institutions including inquiries of the methods for the Paris Agreement, the Carnegie Council on International Affairs, a U.K academic group, the Degrees Initiative, and at Harvard.

We recently took a look inside the 21 projects being funded by ARIA, the U.K government’s Advanced Research and Invention Agency, for which five are likely to involve outdoor experiments. They account for about half a new £57 million programme.

Slowly, but surely, as unrealistic and questionable ‘net-zero’ climate targets can’t be met, it becomes time for a more ‘radical approach’ to solve our problems (in their eyes).

The mad scientists, and brainwashed climate warriors, believe that ‘stopping global warming’ is worth the risks associated with such radical experimental programs.

From the potential for re-emergence of malaria, to the disruption of food chains across the world, the threats humanity faces due to weather manipulation is growing.

Yet, here in Australia, our politicians won’t even acknowledge that such experiments are occurring, even when it is under the supervision of their own department.
