U.K GEOENGINEERING PROGRAMME
The U.K government recently announced plans to fund a number of trials related to geoengineering, marking the first time the state’s research funding body has put serious money into what’s known as solar radiation management, or SRM.
Of the 21 projects being funded by Aria, the U.K government’s Advanced Research and Invention Agency, five are likely to involve outdoor experiments.
They account for about half the £57 million programme.
Three of the projects concern brightening clouds over the ocean, while one explores a method of ‘refreezing the Arctic’. The fifth looks at a specific detail of the potential ‘cooling effect’ of placing certain compounds in the stratosphere.
Other projects concern how to govern these technologies, while modelling and monitoring their effects. They could also yield insights “vital for securing the public and governmental support necessary” if these technologies are ever to be deployed on a much larger scale.
Below, we take a look at some of the projects involved in the U.K’s new programme.
Marine Cloud Brightening
Marine cloud brightening seeks to “make clouds over the ocean more reflective”.
This is done by turning seawater into an aerosol spray and allowing air currents to loft salt crystals into the clouds, where they ‘enhance the creation of reflective water droplets’.
The Reflect Project, led by the University of Manchester, has received £6.1 million to explore “the technical feasibility and optimal methods” for generating these droplets.
A team from the University of Reading has already developed a process using drones to fire electric charges through fog, as a means to alter the size of its water droplets.
Their Brightspark Project has been awarded £2 million to determine whether this process would be viable and safe if applied to clouds. A second phase involving small-scale testing in the U.K is contingent on further approval by Aria.
Southern Cross University in Australia has been researching marine cloud brightening for several years in Australia, as a means to ‘protect the corals of the Great Barrier Reef’.
Subject to further approvals, scientists from the U.K may bring this newfound knowledge over to test on the Great Barrier Reef. How fun.

The remaining two projects are both from teams led by the Centre for Climate Repair at Cambridge University, all available via the Aria website.
‘Arctic Refreezing’
Engineer Shaun Fitzgerald has been awarded £9.9 million to extend an existing research project to examine the feasibility of ‘thickening Arctic sea ice’ by pumping seawater from below the ice on to the surface, where it freezes.
The idea is to increase the extent and thickness of sea ice in winter so that it endures longer through the summer. The project also includes modelling to assess the impact this would have on a range of climate phenomena.
Most significantly, this includes the Atlantic meridional overturning circulation, an ocean current.
This seems tame compared to the experiments that have already been attempted at the Arctic, which have been met with significant pushback from local natives or have failed to take off. All of them primarily involved air spraying.
For instance, the White House announced a five-year ‘solar management atmospheric study’ in 2023, with the WB-57 aircraft, a converted B-57 bomber, chosen to do spraying in Alaska. It is unclear how this study is progressing.
Earlier this year, a U.S-based geoengineering non-profit was forced to cancel tests in Alaska because of potential disruption to the food chain and pushback from local environmentalists.
Perhaps U.K scientists have recognised these developments and are taking a more grounded approach, although the ecological impacts of attempting to push water to the surface remains unknown.
And, despite this, the U.K will still be pouring funds into other air-based geoengineering projects, particularly surrounding solar radiation management.
Stratospheric Aerosols
The final project being funded under this programme, and perhaps the most controversial of them all, looks at what happens to certain compounds when they are placed into the stratosphere – higher than clouds – where, if released as aerosols, they could ‘reflect a little of the Sun’s energy back to space’.
This form of geoengineering has become the most studied area in recent years, as they say it ‘mimics the natural cooling effect of big volcanic eruptions that put massive amounts of sulphate-based aerosols into the stratosphere’.
Yes, that is their reasoning for attempting to ‘block the sun’. We have covered this emerging field on the website.
This new area of research has the backing of the likes of Bill Gates, George Soros, and other elitist parasites.
Under the U.K programme, Hugh Hunt, also an engineering professor at Cambridge, has been awarded £5.5 million to examine a range of aerosol compounds for this purpose.
The plan is to send tiny samples into the stratosphere, in specially designed gondolas attached to balloons. The gondolas will later be recovered, so that the effect of the stratosphere on the samples can be examined.
Yes, it is as crazy as it sounds.
One significant concern with this push is the health and environmental impact of these aerosols as they fall back to the planet’s surface, as with most air-based geoengineering techniques.
But the NWO does not care about these concerns, or pushback from other scientists who warn of an impending irreversible consequence from these experiments. They push forward with more money than ever.
PLAYING WEATHER GODS
Dozens of new geoengineering experiments have taken place over the last five years alone, including the use of methods that are currently covered by the international moratorium.
There are at least 27 ocean fertilisation experiments (harvesting plankton in the ocean to increase photosynthesis and capture CO2) and 17 ‘solar radiation management’ experiments (spraying sulphur particles into the atmosphere to reflect sunlight and ‘cool the planet’) going at last count.
Whenever we post about solar radiation management, many just glaze over it in the comment section by saying ‘oh they have been doing this for years’, perhaps confusing it with existing, traditional spraying (like chemtrails).
Solar radiation management is a whole different type of animal, however, and shouldn’t be dismissed.
SRM is highly controversial because of what it may do to the planet, even among scientists.
Multiple U.S states have used this fierce discussion to make a move on banning geoengineering techniques, specifically noting solar radiation management. In other words, cloud seeding raised no alarms with anyone in government or the scientific community — but this new technique has done so.
But these individuals are not in the United Kingdom.
The Met Office says it is ‘necessary to avert the collapse of ecosystems and society’, and that solar geoengineering consequences ‘are the price we must pay for our wholly inadequate climate change response to date’.
Yes, we are are talking about deliberately altering the atmosphere, a shared worldwide resource. A world fraught with ethical, geopolitical and practical problems. It is and always has been a crazy idea.
The radical mad scientists continue to push ahead with these programs despite the known risks that could be caused to the planet and many societies. It cannot be understated what could occur if research progresses.
And this isn’t even discussing how weather manipulation is, and can be used, as a weapon of war. We have seen recent headlines discussing how Putin could block the U.K in an event of crisis?
