GAZA SMART CITY
Trump administration representatives have just revealed a grandiose $169 billion plan to rebuild ‘war-torn’ Gaza into a futuristic international destination dubbed “Project Sunrise”.
The 10-year development plan, drafted by first son-in-law Jared Kushner, U.S special envoy Steve Witkoff, and two top White House aides, is currently courting investor countries with a 32-slide PowerPoint presentation detailing the bold plan.

Jokes aside, the plan would actually see the development of luxury hotels, high-speed rail and AI-optimised smart grid features that would “revolutionise the small slice of the coveted Mediterranean coastline into a bustling metropolis”, the Wall Street Journal reported.
“Gaza’s destruction has been profound, but we believe what lies ahead is not just restoration — it’s a chance to develop a gateway of prosperity in the Middle East with state-of-the-art infrastructure, urban design, and technology,” the executive summary slide reads.
The total cost would be spread out over 10 years, with the U.S agreeing to cover $91 billion in grants and guarantees on debts.
“Reimagining Gaza as a ‘smart city’ with tech-driven governance and services,” one slide from the PowerPoint presentation reportedly beamed.
The ambitious proposal further calls for establishing a “chief digital office” and an “innovation lab” to “define standards and guide policymaking”.
The presentation does not go into detail about which countries or companies would be investing in the rebuilding fund, according to the media.
In February 2025, Trump expressed his vision to redevelop the territory into the “Riviera of the Middle East” – so this has been in the eyes of the President for at least a year.
Though the plan mapped out distinct phases of construction, it did not provide details for housing the 2 million Palestinians who would be displaced during the massive construction.
There is also an estimated 68 million tons of rubble in Gaza after thousands of Israeli airstrikes levelled cities during the two-year ‘operation’.
U.S officials who have knowledge of the proposal are sceptical that it will come to fruition because a condition would be Hamas agreeing to disarm.
It seems clear that the U.S, along with its most Zionist President to ever emerge, have their eyes set on finally ‘closing the book’ on the Arab-Israeli conflict – one that doesn’t require the Palestinians to be in their native lands any longer.
Who knows if we will actually see luxury resorts in the region any time soon, but one thing is for sure – if the power structure wants developmental change, they will force it.
It’s funny how high-speed rail and smart cities are always the result of widespread destruction – either directly by military equipment, or under the guise of ‘climate change’.
The same old story of economic imperialism being once again being witnessed.
‘BOMB BACK BETTER’

We all know of the term “Burn Back Better” – a critical play on the political slogan “Build Back Better” that governments and international organisations have used to describe post-disaster recovery efforts. It seems we are now looking at “Bomb Back Better”, Trump style.
We have seen this playbook before. When looking at widespread bushfires across the world, we know they are not merely just natural disasters or the result of mismanagement.
Instead, they are deliberately caused or allowed to spread in order to clear land, reshape communities, or advance environmental and urban planning agendas.

What’s not to like, with the above bunch of shysters running the show? I guess I won’t be staying in one of the glitzy resorts on the rebuilt Gaza Coast: the accursed place will be haunted by the ghosts of ca 1.4 million former Gaza residents, largely women and children.
If they think that’s a good thing they must be off their heads. Too many big fires now running amok to think they are all natural. Here where I live too many long grasses left and not dealt with. Where has all this ‘clearing up before fire season ‘ gone.
