PETROL AND DIESEL PHASED OUT?
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has unveiled a bold plan that could see petrol and diesel phased out, and replaced with fuel made from Australian canola oil.
Yes, you heard correctly.
The Albanese government announced on Wednesday it would be investing $1.1 billion into a ten-year ‘Cleaner Fuels Program’ aimed at ‘tackling climate change’.
The program is set to focus on “maximising the economic and industrial benefits of shifting the country to clean energy as it moves towards a net zero target”.
It will also focus on “…the economic opportunities on offer from low-carbon liquid fuels, and prompting private investment in Australian onshore production”.
The program outlines how these “low carbon liquid fuels” would include renewable diesel, as well as sustainable aviation fuel.
Treasurer Jim Chalmers said producing low-carbon liquid fuels in Australia could position the country as “an indispensable part of the global market”.
“It’s about making Australians and our economy big beneficiaries of the global net zero transformation,” Chalmers said.
“Developing this industry has the potential to make us an indispensable part of the growing global net zero supply chains. This is a down payment on developing an entirely new industry in Australia.”
Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Chris Bowen, added the production will ‘tackle emissions’ in the hardest sectors, including plane travel and construction machines.

Bowen added the program would “…generate hundreds of jobs and create countless opportunities for Australian businesses”.
“A new thriving domestic industry with more jobs in our regions, from farmers growing the inputs to workers refining the fuels of the future is within our reach,” Bowen said.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
The Albanese government has argued Australia already has the ingredients needed to make “cleaner liquid alternatives” to fossil fuels, with ready access to feedstocks like canola, sorghum, sugar and waste across the country.
The suicidal ‘net zero’ vision is pushing ahead at record pace, and given that most of our country is reliant on a stable and secure fuel ecosystem, this type of plan spells disaster.
Which is exactly how they want it – a disaster.
For once the ‘green’ transition fails by design, a new world of electric and driverless vehicles awaits, all normalised due to harsh engine emission changes and ‘sustainable’ spider webs.
THE END OF MODERN FUEL
Australia, in recent years, has closed power plants, changed guideline requirements for new cars, and everything else under the sun to ensure our capabilities as a nation are tanked.
As we know, new engine emission rules were quietly introduced last year that will forever alter Australia’s most popular utes, SUVs and 4WDs.
The new guidelines announced by the Albanese government mandate stringent emission standards for new petrol and diesel-powered vehicles from this year.

The new guidelines are aligned with ‘Euro 6d’ standards, which puts numerous popular models — ranging from passenger cars and SUVs, to utes and even trucks – at risk of extinction unless they comply with the demanding standards.
The standards will apply universally to all models, regardless of their launch date, from 2028.
Meaning older models, if still on the road, will need to be modified.
This is just one example of how governments all plan to kill the modern automotive industry, and we can be assured that new plans for canola oil fuel will only add to this notion.
That’s even if these cars, in their current format, stick around.
Don’t forget that from 2035, states like the ACT have already announced they will completely ban new petrol and diesel cars. How long will it be before services like insurance are ‘no longer viable’ for ‘older earth-harming models’?

The government estimates that the combined impact of new emissions standards, and changes to fuel quality, will yield savings of $6.1 billion in health and fuel costs by 2040.
This, of course, is a push towards electric and driverless vehicles at the end of the day.
Once they have fully transitioned the collective mind away from petrol and diesel models, the next phase will be to eliminate your ability to control your electric or hybrid car.
Electric utes have already been tipped as the ‘next big thing’ that will replace existing models, and although many laugh at the power and capabilities vs a normal ute, the normal ute won’t be around for too much longer (with new models not produced at full power).

Has to be coloured, Flavoured & scented during initial Processing(You could not Process Canola ‘Practically at Home’ (Butter you can); Is high in Omega 6’s/low in Omega 3(Resultant Thyroid effects & including cardio vascular Compromisations. IS Unsaturated and open to ‘Free Radicals’). So what happens to the traditional crops like wheat, barley, oats and others that we grew and still grow now??? If they are going to have to have enough canola growing for the automotive industry, then most of the traditional food and fodder crops will not exist as the land that grew these will be replaced to grow this toxic rubbish instead, all for nothing. I live in a rural area. I came here about 20 years ago. There was no canola then, now it is everywhere, in place of what the farmers grew traditionally. These NOT bright sparks in the government have no idea what they are doing and not the faintest idea how this will all end. Must be taking their orders from the WEF turds.

Well not long ago they forced e10 onto 94 Ron petrol…not long till canola oil become the norm. Won’t that mean we’d have to tune our cars for it to run on it?
John Dawe is right. Canola/rape may look nice when it flowers, but is not a very healthy oil to be eating/cooking with. Olive, coconut, palm (although it usually comes with environmental baggage…when rainforest has been felled to accommodate it) and good old butter are far healthier. So when I saw the title of the article I thought Oh no, yet another example of Albo’s reverse Midas touch. But now I’m thinking perhaps he’s onto something. Fuel for cars would be a better use for canola than for human consumption.
