Who is really ‘pulling the strings’?

HIGH-LEVEL MEETING

A meeting has taken place in Sydney involving Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, former Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews, and billionaire businessman Anthony Pratt.

The gathering, a broader industry roundtable hosted by Pratt, also included Paul Keating and other political and business figures, drawing attention to the intertwined web of politics.

The meeting has prompted scrutiny about the relationship between political leaders and some of the country’s most powerful business figures.

Pratt, the Executive Chairman of packaging and recycling company Visy, is one of Australia’s wealthiest and most influential business figures, while Andrews remains a significant figure within the Labor movement after almost a decade as Victoria’s Premier.

Details about the discussion itself have not been publicly released. There has been no published agenda, transcript, or official account outlining the subjects covered.

But I think we can all guess exactly what they were talking about there.

As a result, much of the public debate has focused less on the content of the conversation and more on questions about access, relationships, and transparency.

It is clear that Pratt is one of the biggest supporters of the Labor party.

Does this relationship simply end at the financial donor stage?

Or is there something deeper going on here?

Pratt has maintained longstanding connections with senior figures across Australian politics over the years, including representatives from different sides of the political spectrum.

Like many major business leaders, he regularly engages with government figures on issues affecting investment, industry, employment, and economic policy.

In the days following the event, it emerged that former Prime Minister Paul Keating – the architect of the superannuation sector – told the government to integrate its public social security system with the private retirement savings sector.

Is this just a ‘coincidence’? Or was this push conjured up at the secretive meeting?

The involvement of Dan Andrews has also added another layer of scrutiny.

After leaving his Premier role, Andrews was linked to a consulting job involving Pratt’s businesses – as he snuck out the back door after destroying the state of Victoria.

Concerns have been raised about the movement of former politicians into roles connected with influential companies, described as a “revolving door” between politics and business.

Critics argue that private meetings between senior politicians and billionaires can create perceptions of unequal access and influence. They say greater transparency around such meetings would help maintain public confidence and reassure voters that policy decisions are being made in the public interest, rather than shaped by personal relationships.

The Albanese government has previously faced scrutiny over interactions between senior politicians and wealthy individuals, as have governments of different political persuasions.

As George Carlin once famously said: “It’s a big club, and we aren’t in it!’.

Meetings between elected leaders and business representatives are common in Australia’s political system, but the level of public interest often depends on who is involved, what issues are at stake, and whether details are disclosed.

This particular meeting checks all of the boxes for red flags – considering just how much the Pratt empire donates to the Labor Party and their agenda.

Our ‘elected’ politicians are nothing short of puppets, all controlled by external forces.

The average Australian has no say when it comes to decisions made in this country.

THE ‘BIG CLUB’

The scope of influence that has penetrated the walls of Parliament over the last century has been staggering, as the elitist parasites look to keep ‘the cards stacked’ in their favour.

The Pratt family is one of Australia’s most influential business dynasties, with major impact across industry, philanthropy, politics, and environmental initiatives.

They helped make recycling and ‘sustainable’ packaging central to Australia’s manufacturing sector – despite the industry being largely a sham.

The family’s primary residence in Melbourne’s affluent suburb of Kew is the same mansion where Katy Perry famously performed in 2024 for around $1.5 million. 

The family has long been influential in Australian political and business circles – part of the subversion of justice for decades, resulting in secrecy, corruption, and unfair influence.

In Canberra, lobbyists outnumber the politicians they seek to influence by three-to-one, identified by orange ‘access passes’ as they wander Parliament halls – governed not by laws, but by a code of conduct. A code that is, ultimately, rotten to the core.

Anthony Pratt has also historically been a regular attendee at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

He has used the World Economic Forum as a key networking opportunity to meet with global business leaders, international customers, and political figures.

A member of Mar-a-Lago since 2017, Pratt has met Trump nearly a dozen times over the years. It is alleged that Trump, shortly after leaving office the first time, shared classified information regarding America’s nuclear submarines with Pratt.

It seems like our little politicians will bend over backwards for anyone with resources.
