Cosmetic madness to join Medicare.
GENDER SURGERY PUSH
Australia is considering expanding Medicare coverage to include more than 30 types of ‘gender-affirming’ and ‘re-assignment’ surgery for adults, in a move they say would “improve access to treatment for transgender and gender-diverse people”.

The proposal, submitted by the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), with help from the Australian Collaborative on Access to Gender Affirming Medical Services (ACAGAMS), is being assessed by the federal government’s Medical Services Advisory Committee (MSAC).
The application, numbered 1754, seeks the introduction of new items on the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) – which determines the medical services eligible for rebates.

At present, ‘gender-affirming’ surgery can involve substantial wait times and out-of-pocket expenses, with some procedures costing tens of thousands of Australian dollars.
As they should, given the operation is no different to getting a face lift or breast implants – an elective, cosmetic procedure that isn’t required for your life to continue on.

This new proposal, however, aims to ‘create greater access’ by now covering surgical interventions intended to “align physical characteristics with a person’s gender identity”.
Depending on the final scope of the application, these may include chest surgery, breast augmentation, genital reconstruction, selected facial procedures, and voice-related surgery.
Give me a break.
If the proposal is approved and implemented, eligible patients could receive rebates for specified procedures, potentially reducing their overall treatment costs.
That’s right – you, the taxpayer, will be giving them a little kick-back for their decisions.
Will these assessments consider surgical complications, long-term outcomes, informed consent, patient eligibility, and the financial implications for the health system?
Most likely not.
MSAC first considered such an application in April 2025. While acknowledging an ‘unmet clinical need’, the committee expressed uncertainty about the available evidence on clinical safety and effectiveness – requesting further work before proceeding with its assessment.

The subsequent process involved gathering additional clinical evidence, examining care pathways and consulting stakeholders, including consumers, clinicians, and representatives.
In other words, they went away and found more deranged ‘experts’ who assist to normalise this practice, and then lobbied the medical industry and parliament with incentives.
Five stakeholder meetings were held in May 2026, and the consultation period closed on 9 October 2026. MSAC is scheduled to re-consider the application on 26-27 November.

The result of this upcoming meeting in November will inform the federal Health Minister’s decision on whether to proceed with the proposed Medicare listings.
If it ultimately succeeds, it could mark a significant change in how Australia funds ‘gender-affirming’ surgical care – representing another victory for the cultural marxist lobby.
A lobby that, since marriage equality laws were passed, has campaigned relentlessly for gender dysmorphia to be included in this ‘shift for equal rights’.

Meanwhile, something that is fundamental to ever single person’s health – dental care – largely remains missing from Medicare, rebates, and widespread accessibility.
A sick country that we live in, ladies and gentlemen.
At least I know that when my teeth are rotting out of my head, and the impact no longer allows me to contribute to society (bad health and self-esteem) – I can at least go and get genital reconstruction surgery for little-to-nothing.
How exciting!
I love this Brave New World of equality I exist within!

Subsidised mutilation…another component of the depop program.
Oh dear, I see the poor old Gingerbread Man has made way for Genderbread Person…”gingering up” the transition process.
I wonder how we got here. It’s a good fit for plastic surgeons to make a heap more money. No matter what they do these people will always be what they were born
Yes, exactly. I saw that this was put forward by the plastic surgeons. Of course they must feel that they are not making enough money, poor things. I think Australia is F***d and not just because of idiotic things like this but others as well. I am sure people will look back at this time in history and just shake their heads.
