Israeli President has sit-down with intelligence chief.
SECRET ASIO MEETING
Australia’s domestic intelligence chief hosted an undisclosed meeting with Israeli President Isaac Herzog during his recent visit to Canberra, prompting political scrutiny and debate about transparency in security diplomacy.
The Director-General of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO), Mike Burgess, met privately with Herzog at ASIO headquarters – a visit that was not included on the President’s official public trip itinerary.

The discussion only became publicly known after questions were raised in parliament by independent senator, David Pocock.
Following those inquiries, ASIO confirmed that the meeting had occurred, but says they did not initially publicise it because of the agency’s standard approach to engagements.
According to ASIO, the meeting focused on ‘international security cooperation’, particularly in areas such as counterterrorism and intelligence sharing between Australia and Israel.
Officials said conversations also touched on worldwide security threats and the importance of collaboration between allied nations. ASIO says that engagement with international partners is a ‘routine part of its work’, and that discussions with visiting leaders or senior officials can help ‘strengthen responses to transnational threats’.
However, revelations that a foreign head of state visited Australia’s domestic intelligence service has attracted criticism and prompted calls for greater transparency.

Pocock said the meeting raised questions about precedent and public disclosure, noting that it was unusual for a visiting President to be hosted directly by ASIO at its headquarters.
“A visit by a foreign head of state to the headquarters of our national security and intelligence agency would, I believe, be unprecedented.”
He also argued that the government’s refusal to confirm the meeting “feeds conspiracy theories” and undermines transparency.
Herzog’s trip to Australia had already been politically sensitive.
The visit occurred amid heightened international tensions linked to the ‘war’ in Gaza and prompted protests in several Australian cities. Demonstrators criticised Israel’s military campaign and objected to the Israeli President being welcomed by Australian officials.
They were beaten and assaulted by NSW Police for attempting to exercise this right.

The Australian government has defended our diplomatic engagement with Israel, emphasising that Australia maintains long-standing relationships with a wide range of international partners, including Israel, particularly on security matters.
ASIO has not released specific information about what was discussed during the meeting, citing national security considerations. The agency reiterated that its role includes building relationships with foreign partners to help protect Australia from threats.
But what happens if the threat is one of our ‘partners’ to begin with?
AUSTRALIA AND ISRAEL
Israel, in recent months, has become extremely unpopular on both the left and right side of politics – fuelled to unprecedented levels by actions taken against the people of Gaza.

With such heightened tensions, many are asking the question of why Australia and Israel need to be so connected at the hip, and why any criticisms are being criminalised.
But things have always been like this between our two nations.
The ties between Israel and Australia run very deep. The creation of Israel depended heavily on the actions of Herbert ‘Doc’ Evatt – an enigmatic Australian who served as President of the United Nations General Assembly at the time of Israel’s admission to the U.N.
Evatt, a former Labor Leader, would play an instrumental role in the implementation of the nation, after rising to prominence as an architect of the United Nations Charter in 1945.

Herzog was also in Australia after being invited by Anthony Albanese to meet the Jewish community after the 2025 Bondi ‘terror attack’.
So, it only makes sense that our domestic spy agency would be involved as well.
This episode highlights the tension between secrecy and accountability in intelligence matters, particularly when engagements involve high-profile international figures.
As scrutiny continues, the government may face further questions about how such meetings are communicated to the public in the future.
These questions will likely be labelled as ‘hate speech’ and ‘thought terrorism’ as the months and years go on – as any criticisms of Israel are censored and buried.
Thou shall not question the alliance between Israel and Australia by any means.
Or you will be thrown in the gulag with the rest of the thoughtcriminals, citizen.

Aust.Govt’s transparency is cloudy
I suspect a certain nation concerned is now getting a thorough beating. Poking the hornets nest is bringing out some sting. A certain nation is getting it’s karma for all the genocide that is has perpetrated. No sympathy.
Yay…I sure hope so.
The genocider Herzog should never have been invited to Australia…evil bastard!
And I don’t trust Mike Burgess: he looks too much like Anton LaVey and John Skerritt!
Wasn’t the meeting necessitated
by a handover ‘too secret’ (and
too corrupt) to be intrusted to
the Australian government
channels?
Such as, for example, a handover
of a USB key with a few million
dollars-worth of Bitcoin on it.
Such Jew apartheid regime’s
almost official delivery of a kosher
‘gold watch’ for services rendered
is a clear invitation to would-be
traitors everywhere.
