Why do foreign police forces need to meet together?
AFP HOSTING U.N SUMMIT
Australian Federal Police (AFP) Commissioner Krissy Barrett will soon give an upcoming address to the United Nations (U.N), with the goal of “elevating the role of Pacific Island police and push for their greater involvement in future peacekeeping missions”.
The speech will be part of a significant first for Australia, with the AFP hosting the United Chiefs of Police Summit (UNCOPS) in New York next year.
The biennial UNCOPS gathering brings together heads of national police, ministers and senior officials from all 193 member states at the U.N General Assembly.
The AFP says the summit will “…expand the AFP’s global footprint and strengthen international cooperation in tackling emerging criminal threats across the Indo-Pacific”.
Commissioner Barrett is expected to outline why empowering Pacific chiefs of police is “essential in a region grappling with strategic competition and transnational crime”.
She says the AFP had been working closely with partners on how Pacific nations could advance a more “unified voice”, including the possibility of forming a “regional police bloc” for “multilateral engagement”.
When commenting on the U.N’s role, Barrett stressed “the importance of ensuring Pacific policing perspectives were heard within global bodies”, especially as concerns about cybercrime, illicit commodity trafficking, and organised crime continue to grow.
“The regional leadership and ambition of Pacific chiefs is clear, and their desire is for regional solutions to our shared security challenges,’’ Commissioner Barrett said.
“Pacific police are valued partners for the AFP and together we are clear-eyed and determined when it comes to protecting our region from complex criminal networks. It is important that we continue to build our resilience together as we counter challenges to the global rules-based order.”
She highlighted the AFP’s launch this year of the world’s first U.N-accredited police peacekeeping program designed specifically for Pacific nations and Timor-Leste.
At the Pinkenba facilities in Brisbane, the AFP hosted 100 participants from 11 countries across the Pacific and Timor-Leste to “obtain essential skills required for U.N deployment”.
U.N deployment? Remind me again as to why our federal police force is needed for that? Or why the U.N thinks they have authority to deploy their own control on sovereign nations?
The spider web runs deep, ladies and gentlemen.
Not only do these unelected world bodies attempt to shape policy and issues like finance, but the enforcers of government policy are also ‘briefed’ on the larger master they serve.
Masters that want more centralised, monitored control of populations.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the AFP is keen to host this summit, given the fact they are ‘all in’ with the centralised Western international surveillance grid vision.
The AFP is already hard at work on their own thinking about how it can implement new cyber offensive operations following the passing of controversial ‘identify and disrupt’ laws.

Part of their push includes the establishment of a new dystopian taskforce to target groups and individuals causing ‘high levels of harm to Australia’s social cohesion’.
They are also beginning to merge unregulated forensic DNA identification techniques with criminal investigations, raising concerns about targeting of selected groups.

If this wasn’t concerning enough on its own, we need to factor in the influence of outside parties – governments, intelligence agencies, etc – in gluing everything together.
Particularly, unelected, offshore bodies like the United Nations.
Just a fortnight ago, the United Nations Visitors Services Section welcomed a “high-level delegation of 27 senior Australian officials”, who participated in the ‘Executive Development Programme for Senior Executives’ at the U.N National Security College.

Let’s also not forget, when it comes to policing specifically, Australia is already a part of the controversial and secretive ‘Five Eyes Alliance’ – which is bad enough as it is.
In 2022, a partnership between the border security agencies of Five Eyes members –- the U.S, U.K, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand – announced a new collective strategy on data sharing and biometrics. They want what is a called a “touchless border”.

NSA leaks have exposed the Five Eyes Alliance for jointly operating numerous secret surveillance schemes and unlawfully spying on their citizens’ most private moments.
One of the most threatening things about this intelligence alliance and intelligence sharing is that they allow countries to spy on their own people by proxy.
For example, it may not be legal for the U.K to spy on its citizens, but they can ask the U.S to do so since they’re both in the Five Eyes Alliance.

I note females are often positioned in leadership without a depth understanding of how they are again used to soften the violence of men who have not resolved inner powerlessness which parades always as power or control. This is reflective of the imbalance between women and men. As a peacemaker myself, having focused on peace in myself and as I look upon a world engaged in structural violence causing the very conditions of imbalance (violence, poverty, inequality, lack of education, basics and so on) unaware that violence is a call for help in truth without remedy. What is becoming clear to me is you cannot force peace or create blocs to enforce a global order that’s theme is ‘do as thou wilt’ dropping the very important ‘love and do as thou wilt’. When you operate from a position of no love or indifference or create an ‘enemy/dissident/non compliant’ categorising innocent people as threats or diseases you undermine cohesive social harmony. On a personal level you participate in operations that not only cause harm and ultimately fail but bring disrepute to policing as a respected profession not only here in Australia but worldwide. Once people no longer trust the police, which is happening as uncomfortable truths arise, the loss of credibility loses power immediately. This is where police and civilians are manipulated or weaponised to create conflict (greater fear). Real peace making is to ‘know thyself and be true’ (integrity) and deeply reflect on the part played as part of a bigger picture that cannot succeed. Utopia cannot be experienced through force, division, injustice, deception or violence. It is in truth about reconciling the opposites as real conflict resolution and greater understanding to discover the place of unity. In AFP values they state: “Only by walking together to make sure all cultures are reflected in the AFP’s DNA, can we truly be a strong and unified policing agency that authentically serves all Australians…” The use of DNA is inappropriate given Australians awareness of mRNA changing DNA and it sends a message of alignment with crimes against humanity, they may want to reflect as it is their DNA they are changing which lowers resiliency. I suspect the Pacific Islanders may well teach Australians about harmony as it is embedded in their culture of storytelling, dance and song, not so different from Australian aboriginal ancient wisdom and dreamtime. When we truly walk together, we must learn to walk in the shoes of the ‘other’ not as surveillance but as greater understanding to realise ‘s/he is me’. What we do to others returns to the self is a fundamental wisdom. It is wise to stand on the side of history that was truly ensuring safety and wellbeing.
Years ago I worked for the Fitzgerald Inquiry in a police unit in Brisbane on a temporary assignment. It was very insightful typing up police transcripts of corruption and how detectives were seeking to expose untruths their colleagues told themselves. The police have a military style, and in those days, many males were in these jobs, using potential male violence as a deterrence to keep the society in order not unlike the father figure as fearful and strict. Yet this violence won’t exist when we decide to no longer accept violence as entertainment, structural violence as hardship (inequality, denied access), violent video games for boys (I heard a 7 year old tell another he would kill him for real) and military projection of power augmenting powerlessness. It doesn’t work and the place we are in today is growing into totalitarian states with no justice just ‘do as we say’. It was Gandhi that said: “When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it–always.” Something for Reece Kershaw to reflect on in his retirement. My hope is the AFP that to strengthen relationships you must tell the truth. This is what sets all free from a dystopian future that is not peace or utopia. I send love and appreciation to all police, to UN personnel and those feeling trapped. I understand your dilemma, but have trust we are all here to learn who we are, one way or another.
