The future of vaccines will soon be upon us.
NEEDLE-FREE VACCINATION
Biotechnology company Vaxxas has published data reporting to show the potential benefits of its “high-density, needle-free, microarray patch vaccine”, in collaboration with The University of Queensland and Australian-based jab developer, Technovalia.
Vaxxas’ technology delivers a “dry formulation of vaccines” to cells just below the skin surface, and according to the company, the product has “shown potential” in early clinical studies to “support dose sparing, thermostability, and self-administration of vaccines”.
Their hope is to make it less expensive and “more efficient” to distribute vaccines in the future.
Research was led by Associate Professor David Muller from The University of Queensland and, the newly published data is based on research assessing a Vaxxas HD-MAP delivered COVID-19 vaccine candidate, encoded for the SARS-COV-2 antigen, into the skin of animals.
The COVID-19 vaccine candidate used in the research was by Australian-based Technovalia.
The research has been published as an article, ‘Skin patch delivery of a SARS-CoV-2 spike DNA vaccine produces broad neutralising antibody responses‘ in the science journal, Heliyon.
Vaxxas said that while only one COVID-19 vaccine has been approved to-date, they have shown promise as “the next generation of immunotherapeutic agents in cancer treatment”, offering a “valuable extension of the HD-MAP platform”.
“These newly published results build on our body of evidence supporting the potential benefits of HD-MAP vaccination across a wide range of vaccine types to protect against a wide range of infectious diseases,” said Vaxxas CEO, David Hoey.
Technovalia CEO, Laurent Dapremont, added: “We are excited about the promise of HD-MAP technology in delivering vaccines. This collaboration with other leading Australian organisations highlights our commitment to advancing next-generation vaccines that are safer, more effective, and more accessible.”
In 2023,Vaxxas completed the enrolment for their research, which would be the largest clinical trial of High-Density Microarray Patch (HD-MAP) for vaccine delivery ever undertaken.
Vaxxas estimate they are three-to-five years away from releasing their first commercial product, and the construction of the state-of-the-art Vaxxas facility in Queensland has already created 130 jobs, said Deputy Premier Steven Miles.
Under the deal, the Queensland government owns the Hamilton site, which will be operated by the biotechnology company. This includes production for vaccines for COVID-19, seasonal influenza, a pandemic influenza clinical study for the U.S government, and a measles rubella program that funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Speaking of Bill Gates,Vaxxas announced a partnership agreement with the 2017-established Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), in order to advance the development of Vaxxas’ needle-free vaccine-patch delivery technology.
CEPI is the infamous partnership between public, private, philanthropic, and civil organisations to develop vaccines against future ‘epidemics’ and ‘pandemics’.
Under the terms of the funding agreement, CEPI Chair Jane Halton said: “Vaxxas commits to achieving equitable access to the outputs of the project, including prioritisation of supply for low-income and middle-income countries (LMICs), as well as production of vaccine volumes required to meet public health needs, with affordable pricing, and the potential technology transfer to LMIC manufacturers in line with CEPI’s Equitable Access Policy.”
Indeed, it does appear that the future of vaccines is moving away from needles all together.
This ‘primitive’ delivery method will soon be done away with and replaced with a more tech-based, ‘dissolvable’ approach. One fit for the dystopian era we are living through.
Not only were vaccines bad enough, but now we are seeing science fiction truly coming to life.
THE FUTURE OF VACCINES
In the future, vaccines will be administered in completely different ways to how they are now – and once ‘delivered’, the skin will likely store unique biometric identifiers with it.
Research into dissolvable microneedles has only recently become a phenomenon, as biotech companies look for ways to market to those physically scared of a needle itself.
In 2020, during lockdowns, University of Sydney researchers were awarded $1.12 million in funding to undertake clinical studies into needle-free vaccine delivery for ‘at-risk groups’.
To create a needle-free vaccine, scientists mix vaccine molecules with tiny, cup-shaped molecules made of protein, ready to be ‘delivered’ to the body.
But just how is this liquid ‘delivered’?
Today, researchers have discovered these patches can be delivered through the skin using ultrasound – a method that reportedly doesn’t damage the skin and eliminates painful needles.
Researchers at the University of Oxford applied a liquid vaccine mixture to the skin of mice and exposed it to ultrasound – like that used for sonograms – to achieve the results.
Scientists have even suggested that the light emitting from smartphone device can also act as a delivery method, and even worse, could allow for an invisible ‘tattoo’ pattern made up of minuscule “quantum dots” to be included.
An article published by Rice University on the findings describe them as tiny semiconducting crystals that reflect light — glowing under infrared light.
And, you guessed it, Bill Gates has played a part in the development of this research.
Kevin McHugh, an Assistant Professor of Bioengineering at Rice University, and Robert Langer and Ana Jaklenec from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, conducted the research:
“McHugh et al. developed dissolvable microneedles that deliver patterns of near-infrared light-emitting microparticles to the skin. Particle patterns are invisible to the eye but can beimaged using modified smartphones.
By codelivering a vaccine, the pattern of particles in the skin could serve as an on-person vaccination record.”
Dissolvable needles, pushed through the skin by ultrasound or smartphone, delivering biometric ‘barcode’ markets inside of the person that can be used to store information…
Does this give anyone else ‘Mark of the Beast’ vibes, anyone?
