MENTAL HEALTH PERSCRIPTIONS
Recent reporting on prescription pill usage in Australia has highlighted that around one in five Australians are now receiving mental health medication at least once a year.

The estimate is drawn from national pharmaceutical dispensing records, particularly the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), which tracks subsidised prescriptions.
According to an analysis by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) data and national mental health surveys, approximately 20 per cent of Australians aged between 16 and 85 are dispensed at least one psychotropic medication in any 12-month period.

This category includes antidepressants, anti-anxiety medicines, antipsychotics, mood stabilisers, and certain medicines used for attention disorders and sleep-related conditions.
The numbers include people on long-term treatment plans for conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia, but also those who may have received short-term prescriptions for anxiety, insomnia, or ‘transitional stress’.
This trend is consistent with a broader long-term rise of mental health-related ‘conditions’ in Australia, which have increased steadily in recent years – placing Australia among the highest ranked in the world for use of these medicines across OECD countries.

Researchers say these statistics are a ‘good thing’ – pointing to ‘greater awareness of mental health conditions’, ‘reduced stigma around seeking treatment’, ‘improved access to primary care prescribing’, and the expansion of treatment guidelines as reasons for this increase.

The COVID-19 ‘pandemic’ period is also believed to have contributed to increased demand, with surveys showing elevated rates of psychological distress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms across parts of the population.

Some researchers have raised concerns about over-reliance on pharmacological solutions, particularly in cases where social or psychological interventions might also play a role.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work that one out – as the pharmaceutical virus spreads to infect all human beings looking for health solutions.
Guided away from natural remedies and evidence-based treatments, to a system of fundamental deception and corruption at all levels involved.
One in five Australians are now in the grips of this money making machine.
BIG PHARMA DANGERS
The rates highlighted in this research are troubling, especially when you consider that the very premise underpinning most of these products is fraudulent to begin with.
Especially when it comes to mental health and the ‘solutions’ being offered by doctors.
In 2022, a landmark study conclusively disproved that a ‘chemical imbalance’ causes depression – debunking the pseudoscientific theory that has misled millions of consumers to take harmful antidepressants and have lifelong side effects from them.

According to the study, there is no clear evidence that depression is caused by low serotonin levels – yet, despite this, the issue continue to persist.
Not only the dishing out of the pills themselves, but in the fact that mental health is out of control with no real solutions presented by the medical industry.
In 2023, an international study from almost 30 countries projected that one in two people will develop a mental health disorder in their lifetime.

But, as the evidence highlights, prescription pills are not the response to this inverted society we live in, despite what the doctors want you to hear.
We have repeatedly witnessed the impacts that mental health medications, including those for ADHD, are having on the millions of people who consume them.
Last year, a major review of evidence on ADHD treatment in adults found no improvement to patient quality of life, and not enough evidence to assess long-term impacts.

Not just that, but Australia’s pharmaceuticals watchdog recently investigated a spike in adverse event reports for the country’s most commonly prescribed ADHD medication.

The doctors couldn’t care less, continuing to pump these products onto shelves – subjecting over five million Australians to the cycles of dependency and inherent danger.
Australia has experienced more than 42,000 overdose deaths since 2001, according to the latest annual overdose monitoring report from the Penington Institute.

Benzodiazepines, opioids, and antipsychotic medications are the highest contributors.
The world puts blind faith in ‘experts’ to understand what they are talking about, despite fundamental myths that have persisted in ‘health science’ for decades being blown apart.
Doctors and pharmaceutical companies are allowed to commit mass fraud, while manslaughter is covered up as ‘malpractice’. The ‘experts’ are dangerous, folks.

It is a shame that one in five people are caught in the grip of the mental health medication vortex, and this isn’t even including the countless number of other non-related pills.
For a government that says they ‘care’ about us so much – ie, ‘we must reduce smoking rates’ – they sure do love allowing pharma fraudsters to run all over us.

Medical weed gummies are the new big thing. They’re easy to obtain and are shipped in the mail. Available from any doctor within the hour. I wonder if they’re included in these statistics
I am a holistic natural health nutritionist and researcher and there is not one person I know, among so many, who does not first go the pHARMa route for their health issues. It is extremely disheartening. The masses STILL have their heads in the sand! There is little hope and things will just have to play out the way they will.
I used to think that if we did enough that we could stop what is coming, now I see that we are way past the tipping point. Time to get out.
As Jiddu Krishnamurti once aptly stated: “It is no measure of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society”. Is it ever a wonder why people are more sick then ever!
