NSW SCHOOL RULE CHANGE
New South Wales has introduced extensive new rules banning ‘hate speech’ by schooling staff across all sectors, in a move that has drawn both praise from the government and concern from educators, unions, and civil liberties advocates.

From this week, every teacher, principal, and member of staff in NSW government, as well as Catholic and independent schools, will be required to observe ‘strengthened conduct standards’ that explicitly prohibits ‘hate speech’ in all school settings.
The authoritarian assault of freedom of thought is now coming to a school near you!
The updated requirements were published by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and take effect immediately, with the aim of ‘ensuring that schools are respectful environments free from conduct that incites hatred’.

Under the changes, codes of conduct for all staff must explicitly include a ‘hate speech’ prohibition, and responsible persons must meet “fit and proper” criteria to reflect policy.
The reforms apply to over 3,000 schools across the state, and are part of broader efforts by the NSW Labor government to address ‘extremism’ and ‘antisemitism’ in the wake of the 2025 Bondi Beach ‘terror attack’ – in which 15 people were killed.
Problem, reaction, solution.
Addressing the media, Premier Chris Minns stressed the importance of the measures, saying that staff who engage in ‘hate speech’ – even if outside school hours or off campus – are “not the kind of people we want shaping young minds”.
The Premier said the rules apply not only to overt violence or criminal incitement, but to any conduct that could ‘promote hatred or division within the school community’.
Crucially, NESA will now have the authority to take disciplinary action independently of any police prosecution or criminal conviction.
This means educators can face sanctions – including dismissal – if the authority concludes that their conduct breaches ‘hate speech’ definitions adopted into codes of conduct.

Legal experts have questioned whether it is appropriate for an administrative body like NESA to make judgements on such matters without a court ruling, potentially blurring the line between criminal law and employment standards.
Teacher unions and civil liberties advocates have warned that the’ hate speech’ ban could inadvertently chill legitimate classroom discussion about controversial world issues.

Some education sector representatives, including the Australian Secondary Principals’ Association, have said they want more clarity around conduct expectations – urging for robust training and clear guidance to ensure fair and consistent implementation.
Yes, we must ensure that no teacher or student ever expresses an opinion that is contrary to the herd – for that is dangerous and may lead to them becoming ‘terrorists’!
With more young Australians, particularly boys, now ending up on the right wing of the political spectrum, it seems the government is attempting to stop them from waking up.
Free speech is a thing of the past, youngins’, and you will learn to love it!
THE END OF FREE SPEECH
As more young Australians begin to shun away from the cultural marxist indoctrination campaigns we see in modern society, the government is stepping in to try and change this.
A University of Melbourne study recently made headlines for suggesting a significant share of teenage boys show support for right-wing ‘extremist’ ideas – with reports indicating almost 40 per cent of boys aged 13-17 expressed some support for ‘right-wing ideologies’.
Reports have also highlighted that influences from online ‘manosphere’ communities – loosely defined content that promotes rigid gender roles and traditionalist views – have impacted some young males’ attitudes towards gender and masculinity.
Teachers and sociologists have noted increases in sexist remarks or hostile attitudes among boys in some schools, as a light is shined on ‘toxic manhood’.

So, of course they need to come for the kids – to try and stop this trend in its tracks early.
Let’s not forget that schooling was designed specifically to create a “unity of thought” amongst the young in society, as students are collectively brainwashed under monotonous conditions and funnelled into society as conformed ‘producers’.

Under the legislation, individuals and groups found guilty of “intentionally promoting or inciting hatred against people based on protected characteristics” – including race, religion, ethnicity and other attributes – can face substantial penalties, including prison.
It was quickly passed following the Bondi Beach ‘terrorist attack’, as a range of state and federal officials and institutions call for more powers to ‘contain the spread of hate’.

Freedom of speech and freedom of expression are indispensable conditions for the full development of the person, and they are essential for any democratic society.
Without them, we are no different from a country like North Korea.
Schooling should be a place to learn and debate free ideas, not a place of suppression.
Australian kids in NSW will now have to seek elsewhere to find the other side of the story.
If they even can anymore in an era of internet censorship and ID verification schemes.

Let me guess: any criticism of Israel’s genocide in Gaza will qualify as “hate speech” by terrorist-wannabes, while the actual perpetrators of this atrocity remain untouchable. And one, Israel’s President, Isaac Herzog, is being feted in Australia this week. I plan to attend the pro-Palestinian protest rally in Adelaide on Monday at 5.30pm with a message:
GENOCIDER HERZOG NOT WELCOME HERE!
How did “Poor Fella My Country” sink so low?
