Those celebrating may be missing the point.
VENEZUELA MILITARY ACTION
United States military forces have conducted a sudden military operation against Venezuela’s government, striking key sites including Caracas and capturing President Nicolás Maduro.
Maduro and his wife have been flown to New York to face federal charges brought by the U.S. government – including drug trafficking and narco-terrorism – in a rare case of a foreign head of state being prosecuted on U.S. soil.
In public statements, President Trump said Washington would “run Venezuela” temporarily until a “safe, proper and judicious transition” could occur, and promised U.S. oil companies would help rebuild and benefit from Venezuela’s energy infrastructure.

Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez has since been declared Interim President by the country’s own institutions, and has expressed willingness to co-operate. The CIA believes she is the perfect person for the job.

Trump’s intervention has triggered widespread worldwide condemnation. At the United Nations Security Council, a broad range of countries criticised the operation as a violation of international law and Venezuelan sovereignty.
Leaders from Brazil, China, Russia, Mexico, South Africa and other nations denounced the move – warning it sets a dangerous precedent, risks regional instability, and breaches international charters.

Despite this outcry, the U.S. used its veto power to block formal censure.
In the lead up to this event, the Trump regime authorised a number of military strikes on alleged drug boats near Venezuelan territory – while Trump himself has repeatedly threatened land strikes in the country.

Many supporters are upset that the ‘President of Peace’ – ‘Mr. No Wars’ – is once again meddling in the interests of a foreign country. From Iran to Venezuela, all in one year.
Philip Elliot, senior correspondent at Time Magazine, has asserted that Trump’s aversion to foreign interventions was a huge appeal for many who supported him in the 2024 election.
Not that Trump or his yes-men care about broken election promises (Epstein, etc).
Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, once a close ally of Donald Trump, spelled out in one short sentence why elements of the U.S President’s core voter base were dismayed at the weekend operation that captured Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro:
“This is what many in MAGA thought they voted to end.”
This sentiment was shared by some other elected Republican officials, including Kentucky’s Thomas Massie, who also publicly stated his disapproval with Trump’s decision attack.
So far, these voices are split with those who support the intervention.
Many people – including sections of the Venezuelan population – are celebrating the removal of Maduro, who did rule the country with little-to-no accountability as conditions worsened due to continued U.S sanctions.

But, unlike what the mainstream media are showing you, snap protest against the intervention are occurring as of today. There are indeed many people that are not happy with this in the country.
You certainly can’t blame them after the way the country has been in recent years.
But are people missing the bigger picture here?
I think so.
‘Oh, it’s a sh*thole ruled by a tyrant anyway’
Did you ever stop to think about how they got to this point in the first place?
What most fail to realise is that Venezuela ended up in this situation to begin with because of the United States and interventionist policies in Latin America since the 1950s.
The destabilisation we see in the Middle East was first blueprinted in Latin America and Asia.
Narcotics = weapons of mass destruction.
And every leader labelled as an ‘evil tyrant’ has a complex history with the United States that is much deeper than the official story, and are only targeted once they try to break away from the grip of the NWO and aggressive American oil seizing tactics.
Let’s also not forget exactly who Maduro was calling out in the lead up to this:
The Shah of Iran said the exact same thing in the 1970s before a ‘revolution’ occurred and turned it from a jewel of the Middle East to a totalitarian shithole. I would feel the exact same way if the U.S took out Iran now. You caused this to begin with, guys, so forgive me if I’m not too confident in your latest effort to ‘save the country’.
Regime change with a CIA-puppet has never worked, and will never work – this will only lead the region to end up worse off than it ever was before.
So, even if the Venezuela are now better off in the short-term, I still can’t celebrate this action – especially given a sovereign nation has once again had its sovereignty upended.
Just because Saddam Hussein was bad, doesn’t mean the U.S has the right to topple him.
Similarly, just because Maduro was bad – it also does not give them the right.
Even if Venezuela was a major player responsible for ‘narcotic attacks’ on the U.S, since when is imperialistic force as a solution any good?
Since when has it ever worked?
Of course, the U.S does what it wants and will probably never listen to the rule of international order – but I guarantee you won’t be happy when it comes to your shores.
No doubt, Trump has restored the United States to its glory days of being a staunch ruler of the world – maintained through fear, intimidation and aggression.
THE (IMPERALIST) EMPIRE STRIKES BACK
When I first learned of the New World Order as a young lad, the story of how the U.S has repeatedly conquered and destroyed Latin America was a key educational tool.
If you want to see exactly how this system operates, look no further than across the border.
Puppet governments, regime change, assassinations of revolutionaries fighting for change – you name it. Then, the U.S turns around to say ‘look how bad everything is’.
The new episode has reinstated fears of what may happen to Latin America now, including an escalation beyond Venezuela – something that has been hinted at.
Trump has suggested further military actions could be possible if regional governments don’t align with U.S priorities, and there are concerns that the intervention may heighten tensions with Colombia, Cuba, and even nations beyond the Western Hemisphere. Where have we heard this before?

The situation has reignited debates about the U.S’ role in Latin America, the future of oil geopolitics, and the norms governing international intervention.
A role they have shaped for many decades now.
This action is part of a long pattern of powerful countries – especially the United States – imposing political and economic outcomes on weaker nations.
Even when interventions are justified with claims about ‘democracy’, ‘human rights’, or ‘security’, they are actually violations of national sovereignty that prioritise U.S. strategic or economic interests over the self-determination of local populations.
Chile, Guatemala, Brazil, Nicaragua, and El Salvador are all historical victims of this agenda.
In many of these cases, the U.S. backed leaders or movements that were anti-communist or business-friendly, even when they engaged in repression. Like Maduro did.

These episodes are not isolated mistakes, but part of a broader pattern in which external interference destabilises political systems, weakens democratic institutions, and contributes to long-term inequality and violence. A pattern that will repeat again now.
U.S-based companies and international lenders will capitalise on sanction-led destruction and pressure campaigns, worsened humanitarian conditions, and narrowed political options.
At the end of the day, lasting political change must come from within Latin American societies, not from foreign governments using force or coercion.
Even critics of Venezuela’s leadership should oppose U.S. intervention on principle, as it undermines international law and reinforces a hierarchy in which powerful nations act without accountability.
Resisting intervention is not about defending a particular government, but about rejecting a historical dynamic that has repeatedly destabilised Latin America, rather than helping it.
Do you agree with my sentiments?
Or am I destined to be grouped in with radical leftists for my stance on this one?

Absolutely agree with everything you have said. How dare Trumpy invade and kidnap a foreign country and it’s President. Every time the US meddles in other countries, South America, the middle east and others, those countries end up by being basket cases and are much worse after the troops leave. Syria is now governed by ISIS. I guess all this must be the agenda that the elites are pushing using presidents and prime ministers etc to do their dirty work. Useful idiots. Trump can’t even string a proper sentence together. And yes it is up to the people of that country to deal with their politicians, not the US.
WHO/m EVER said that WE, were on the Side of ‘Good’? The U.Sers of A., is at war Eternally – Even with it’s own Citizens! Just like other members of 5 > 9 Eyes Nations, internal Govt repressions, Tiered Class ‘Entitlement’ Taxes, Endless laws, dodgy Law enforcements, Military-Corporate Alterations of Landscape & environment, Govt/Private Partnerships for the Nations all metric Wealth theft, Secrecy of Public servant & NON intelligent acronym Agencies, Sex & Human violations & trafficking, Poverty & Misery whilst the Home Terrorist[a] Governments, ‘Blow’ Squillians on their Corporate mates in the Defence & ‘Science’/Chemical/pharma industries. If folks want a true Vision of U.S. Govt run Societies – Consult George Carlin (1937 – 2008).
Maduro, Hussein, Assad, Gaddafi & others. Find a Country, that Hasn’t got Major resources – or Geo Politically located for control, that Get’s U.S. & PETS parasitic attention.
SOooooo, if only Maduro (& the others), were ex Terrorist commanders of Al Qaeda (remember ‘Them’ – ‘Blamed’ for 9/11 something!), I.S.I.S & H.T.S – Like the U.S & PETS recognised new Syrian President Ahmed al- Sharaa. What a difference a title & Amani suit makes.
Couple of Definitions;
a] Terrorism; Person or Persons who use Bombing, ‘Kidnapping’ and/or Murder – To change Government policy! OOPS! U.S., U.K., Israel, NATO + PETS = Nice big Green Tick for ALL of Ya!
Kidnapping; U.S.; Kidnapping is a crime under both federal and state law, involving the unlawful taking or confinement of a person. Penalties are severe, especially when the crime involves children, crosses state lines, or includes aggravating factors like injury or sexual assault. Even parents can face kidnapping charges if they violate custody orders. = So HOW, does U.S. ‘Law’ exist outside of the United States in another Sovereign state? AND, it’s STILL a CRIME! (Drugs & Narco Terrorism charges! GET OUT! LOL! Otherwise the CIA & DEA could stand Proxy in the ‘Dock’, for at least Half the Planet!).
Next; WHERE was the Venezuelan MILITARY & Security services – Or was Maduro, a Countries President, being protected by a toy poodle? ( Nice of the U.S. drop kicks, to pick a ‘CONpliant’ new ‘Unpopular’ stand in for Maduro! = You know. The kind that Instantly is Shifting the Venezuelan Embassy TO – Jerusalem!
WHERE, were the Venezuelan Military, Security forces protecting their president ( AND, I’m assuming Venezuela HAS Intelligence services also!).
Next; MOST all of countries struggling with economic Impoverishment (OZtopia Incl), No matter their National Wealth, is Directly attributed to Repressions & sanctioning via historic Global Imperialistic Bullies, such as the U.K., US & crew (Nice little Pantomime), And the 8,000 odd entity OverClub Operating in Plain shadows – The B.I.S (Switzerland)! Plus purposeful operations of the Nation’s Retentioned/paid UnderClub – Operating the NotMyGov.Con. Economic & All Metric Policy on/off-Track bumbling charade.
Last; Of course Venezuelans are going to be better off, under A U.S. COMIIC occupation! Pedro, Maria, young Gonzales – Your cheques in the Mail, for YOUR resources dividend! Look how well Historically, that’s working out for Western & Saudi populations!
Wellness, Unity
Agree with Ethan and the Dawes. The US hegemon just became even more hegemonic. Stealing Venezuela’s oil/minerals, or at the very least preventing China from getting them. Is this another prelude (along with Gaza & Ukraine) to WW3? Some observers of “the rulers of the world” think they must make their move between mid-February and late September this year, to enable the destruction of “the second temple” so they can build the third. They always do things “by the numbers”. I don’t know…I’m not Christopher Jon Bjerknes!
