FOOD SUPPLY AND CLIMATE POLICY

The United Nations recently held their latest climate summit, COP28, in the United Arab Emirates. It brought together representatives from over 150 countries, including Australia.

We will go into some of the usual moves towards Agenda 2030 later in this piece, but to begin, the most important note I took away from the summit was to do with food agreements and ‘climate change’.

The Emirates Declaration commits 158 countries to integrate food into national climate plans, meaning our world supply chains may soon be grouped intro radical policies for ‘sustainability’ (as warned about).

This ‘Global Goal on Adaptation’ provides a playbook for investments over the next 10-20 years.

While there is a target to make food systems climate-resilient, there is no mention of small-scale family farmers, who produce a third of the world’s food and have nowhere near enough finance to deliver (even if countries double adaptation finance to beyond $40 billion a year by 2025).

An Alliance of Champions for Food Systems Transformation – Brazil, Rwanda, Norway, and Sierra Leone – have even stepped forward to outline what a good ‘climate food plan’ would look like.

The FAO roadmap sets out how governments can ‘end hunger’ and cut emissions from food, which completely ignores any regulations to protect and restore nature, which are key for food security. 

Wanjira Mathai, Managing Director for Africa and Global Partnerships at World Resources Institute said: “Food and nature have finally made it out of the footnotes at COP28.

“But, while we have firm commitments on nature, we have to cross our fingers and hope that governments deliver on promises to put food in new national climate plans.“

We have been warning about the dangers our world supply chains face in the face of these radical agendas since the pandemic period, where the Rockefeller Foundation hosted a forum on the topic.

Also reported has been the future impacts that solar geoengineering will have on food production, as well as the rise of a manufactured water crisis soon set to emerge.

The rationing and restricting of food and water will be a massive part of the future slave plantation system, as a plethora of artificial, lab-grown ‘alternatives’ rise to take their place.

Now, for the first time, food will be a major focus of the climate lobby moving forward.

But this wasn’t all they spoke about at UN COP28. In fact, some other key decisions were made that should also be noted surrounding the transition of the world away from fossil fuels.

OTHER COP28 SUBJECTS

In addition to food transitions, this was the first COP to officially acknowledge that fossil fuels are the root cause of ‘climate change’. That’s right, sceptics, the ‘experts’ have spoken.

The landmark deal unanimously agreed at COP28 in Dubai also acknowledged the role of gas in the ‘green energy’ transition, in what has been seen as a win for Australia and other major producers.

Through this plan, over 50 national and international oil companies, representing about 40% of global production, signed a ‘decarbonisation charter‘.

The initiative sets a few main aims, including the achievement of net zero emissions in each company’s direct operations (as opposed to the use of their products) by or before 2050.

It also states the goal of achieving near-zero methane leakage from the production of oil and gas by 2030, and to achieve zero routine flaring (burning excess gas) by 2030.

During the summit, a new pledge was also signed by 118 countries to triple renewable energy capacity and double the worldwide rate of energy efficiency by 2030.

As part of this deal, a “loss and damage fund” will be established as a finance tool for developing countries that have suffered a major ‘climate change-related disaster’.

Of course, our good friends at The World Bank will administer the fund for a negotiated fee of 24% – meaning one in four dollars pledged will never make it to the countries in need.

Once again, we see unelected world bodies attempting to take control of sovereign nations by proxy, with our bought-and-paid-for politicians all going along with it like the sheep they are.

The ‘conspiracy theories’ just keep coming true. Now, with the official acknowledgement that food and water will need to be included in these nation-altering agreements, the predicts were correct again.

It is said all the time on this website, but it is imperative you connect with local farmers, growers, and community groups, and reclaim food and water sovereignty back from the monopolised chains.

Because they will make sure they have full control over these precious resources if they get the chance.
