A group of YouTubers are being investigated by Victoria Police after entering and filming inside the remote hideout where fugitive Dezi Freeman spent his final months on the run.
The men, including online creator “Biff” from The Chaos Chronicles, posted a video showing the inside of the converted shipping container at Thologolong in north-east Victoria.
Freeman had reportedly lived there for several months before being shot dead by police in March 2026. The footage shows bedding, food supplies, radio equipment, and batteries – as well as extensive bullet damage believed to have resulted from the police operation.
The videos also captured signs of tear gas residue and makeshift living conditions inside.
Victoria Police confirmed they were investigating possible trespass offences linked to the visit, which allegedly took place on 16 April. Officers are examining whether the group unlawfully entered private land, or interfered with what had previously been an active crime scene.

“Biff” claims he initially travelled to the area to retrieve a crashed drone and believed he had permission to enter the property. He later defended the visit online.
The owner of the property is understood to be considering legal action, with reports stating warning signs prohibiting trespass were displayed at the site.
