NEW POLICE POWERS
Melbourne has gone from one the world’s most liveable cities, to an unrecognisable hub of ‘progression’, ‘social justice’, and waves of crime on the streets almost daily.
Now, a ‘solution’ has come along that has many people raising their eyebrows.
Victorian Police have announced an unprecedented expansion of search powers – both in terms of length of time and scope – across the CBD, Docklands, Southbank, the sporting and entertainment precinct, and parts of East and South Melbourne.
A “random selection of people using a thoroughfare” by foot or by car could be subjected to a pat-down search – without warrant or reasonable suspicion at any time – across inner Melbourne until 29 May 2026.
During that time, police and protective service officers (PSOs) have the ability to randomly stop and search anyone, including by using an electronic wand or a pat-down.
People may be asked to take off items of outer clothing, such as headwear and jackets, and to remove items from bags or pockets. Vehicles can also be searched.
“It matters not your ethnicity. It matters not your race. It matters not your culture, age, any demographic,” Victoria Police Deputy Commissioner Bob Hill told reporters.
“We focus on the offending type, and we focus on preventing crimes from occurring in the first place, by a general deterrence approach.”
According to police, it’ll ‘be like a random breath test’ – nothing to worry about.
Police say the declaration of Melbourne as a “designated area” for six months was due to “a number of serious assaults involving edged weapons” in the CBD throughout 2025.
Until recently, Victoria’s Control of Weapons Act limited the time period an area could be ‘designated’ by police to 12 hours, but the Victorian government amended this legislation to extend a declaration to up to six months earlier this year.
Melbourne has become such a totalitarian nightmare that this is now required to ‘keep people safe’, following stabbings, machete fights, robbing, shootings, and more.
Police have repeatedly stated no profiling will occur during this unprecedented action, but legal and human rights groups don’t believe them based on past interactions.
And sure, perhaps some racial profiling may be needed for this problem – but the underlying issue here is that this has all been caused by the authorities to begin with.
They are further enhancing their police state under the guise of ‘safety and security’, after importing dangerous criminals into the country.
The Hegelian Dialectic in full swing once again – as our rights continue to evaporate.
PROBLEM, REACTION, SOLUTION
Crime has been out of control in Melbourne over the past year, with the insanity reaching a tipping point with the introduction of farcical ‘machete bins’ across the state.
The bins are part of a statewide initiative rolled out in 2025, which makes it illegal to own, carry, buy, sell or use a machete unless you have a valid exemption or approval.
The program cost $325,000, including the bins themselves, public awareness campaigns, retailer education, safe disposal logistics, and administration.
However, the machete crime is still ongoing in truly comical fashion.
The government knew this wouldn’t work, and so here come the heavy-handed tactics. Tactics that won’t just target criminals, but takes away freedoms of everyday citizens.
Many people believe that mass immigration into is intentionally enabled or encouraged by governments, NGOs, or international institutions in order to create a cultural crisis.
The old ‘problem, reaction, solution” playbook, where authorities manufacture events so that the public will accept a pre-planned solution they would otherwise reject.
From this point, police will gain more powers to control, and later justify introducing digital IDs, centralised control systems, or other forms of technological surveillance.
We have already seen this in the U.K.
In September of this year, the government introduced new ‘Digital ID Cards’ designed specifically to help ‘tackle illegal immigration’ – again, a problem caused by the very same political figures now offering the ‘solution’.
The powers now currently enacted in Melbourne’s CBD remind me of the special powers granted to Queensland Police during the 2014 G20 Summit in Brisbane.
During that time, many civil liberties of anybody inside of the inner-city region – including myself – were completely suspended, with searches occurring regularly.
I knew even back then that all of this was just a test for the future police state to come.
I am certainly not a fan of how our country is being systematically dragged down to third world standards, but I am even less of a fan of police powers expanding because of it.
It is a very clever game they are playing, and if you dare say anything against it, you are the literal spawn of Adolph Hiter – according to many brainwashed zombies out there.
This isn’t even an attack on police themselves, either – most of them are just caught in the middle of trying to deal with the government’s failures.
From Digital ID will naturally come Western-style social credit systems to make sure that the ‘bad characters’ in our society are restricted from services and freedoms.
A script we have seen play out for many years now.

You picked it back in 2014, Ethan, including the use of agents provocateurs to shut down genuine peaceful protests. That’s right…no justification for having events like G20s in capital cities, where they shut the whole place down…to “get the populace used to martial law”.
