The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has announced the first major allocation of 5G millimetre wave (mmWave) spectrum.

14 applicant companies have all been offered a licence in the 26 GHz and 28 GHz bands, in a move that is expected to ‘unlock’ the potential of 5G.
