China wants to boost its ability to modify the weather and will extend a controversial geoengineering program to cover at least 5.5 million square kilometres of land.

Weaponising the weather is a major part of Agenda 2030, and China’s State Council said it would ensure modification capabilities would reach a “developed” level by 2025.
